Why don`t ppl design mobile suits

Can you bio-engineered an animal (dog or monkey) to be a living battery? Make the blood electrolytic? Implant piezo tranducers in the muscles? Put a radio...

Saint Valentinian SG

Ive always wondered why no one has thought of designing a mobile suit, something like a Mech/Gundam style robot, operated by a person inside. Maybe seems far fetched now, but i think it would offer more mobilty and flexiblity. Haha..personally liked the Design of the Mecha in the Matrix Revolutions, with mounted Dual machine guns and all.
Just a thought~! *

ditzy SG

Why no mechs and mechwarriors, seems not too far away? Laughing

boariggy SG

Cost?

Fairyland SG

Why not bio-engineered and massively clone a stealthy Siberian Tiger with an Mastiff?

Developed simulators with hunter killer training programs for these animals. Make them grow up with blood thirsty mindless hatred for all living things except SAF personnel with proper electronic tags.

hmm i do believe that is the future of warfare too. but designing a mobile suit is not easy, considering the robotics needed is still higher than what we have now.

ditzy SG

Why no transformers and decepticons? Laughing

[email protected] SG

we have too many movies of bio-engineered things going horribly wrong. don't think that is a wise move. essentially u do not want to create something that cannot be destroyed. when it turns against u for some freak reason, there's no way for u to survive...

ditzy SG

Why no centurions? Laughing

ditzy SG

Why no mask? Why no voltron? Why no power rangers? Why? Why? Why? Laughing

Ya .. the APSs in Matrix Rev shooting dn the sentinels ... those were my favorite scenes in the movie .. awesome graphics and special effects Mr. Green

think there have sth like dat albeit smaller scale and used in the hyeavy duty industrial applications

CX SG

robotics and hydraulic-operated limbs are not as stable and as efficient as caterpillar tracks and wheels.

Singapore defence scientists will be the world leader in cloning built-to-measure merciless war monsters! We can produce them in the millions!

Plus technology to built trainers for developing the monster's growth and simulators to hone their skills.

It's a niche area where Singapore can get a head start.

They don't need much space and eat no more than a human. You can harvest them for food or blood even when they become less effective to save costs.

I think SAF have all the reasons to go in this direction.

You can use these genes developed later when it's lawful to clone humans and the technology is available.

A very effective supplement to the war machines that's in place.

not for the time being anyway

[email protected] SG

u sure u getting enough oxygen with your head so high up in the clouds?
Laughing

Fairyland SG

It's not all outer space here.

Cross breeding and training dogs for war has been done before.

We need the numbers on the ground and bio-engineered 'Singas' is one serious direction to evaluate.

They can be made 'safe' if you place at birth a wireless device over their heart to receive a secured kill signal if they go out of control.

It's doable now, definitely!

ditzy SG

Maybe they are building Mobile suits on St Valentine. They can't do it on earth otherwise the coordinators wun be happy? Laughing

[email protected] SG

so what happens when something goes wrong and we have these unstoppable creatures turning on u? sorry but i'd rather have mechanical giants which still require human input.

furthermore, war needs casualties and human deaths to drive home any impact otherwise we might as well get the leaders of each country to rear a specially genetically moddified rooster and pit them in a cock fight to decide victory.

Fairyland SG

Well, this you can do already with internet technology - Xbox Live.

IMHO for small nations, harnessing bio-technology is a must, I think.

Ok, you can also design chemical agents that hang around longer to even the numbers too.

[email protected] SG

small nations can large nations cannot?

CX SG

oh while we're thinking "creatively" why not we do like Red Alert 2... cloned psychic soldiers! with their psychic powers enhanced by beacons!

can control enemy troops to turn against themselves! Rolling Eyes
